Three authors, one vision. This book, subtitled A Field Manual for Living Your Best Life, is perfectly named. I was able to relate to the military way of life due to my upbringing, and greatly appreciate how it was linked so seamlessly to civilian life; a win for every background!
The authors outlined this book with precision and detail, and wrote it in a way that’s easy to understand and apply. Not only did they go through describing the virtues for living your best life, but they detailed the enemy of each virtue and ways to conquer. Additionally, the authors included a “Sit-Rep” at the end of each section that highlighted key points and ways to apply them in real life.
The virtues outlined in this book, when applied, will transform lives. From character development to living a life of meaning and purpose, each virtue contributes to that of completion. Choosing virtue over vice is not always easy, but our world would be vastly different if the characteristics outlined in this book were developed, nurtured, and regularly applied.
This book is recommended for anyone looking to better themselves or push themselves to a higher level of excellence. From parents wanting to help develop characteristics in their children, to graduates wanting to cultivate these virtues for a better life, I recommend this book for them and everyone in between.
