When the opportunity to review this book came through my inbox, I didn’t hesitate. In this world of impossible standards and perpetual shortcomings, this topic is not something easily dissected. I often suffer from setting higher-than-achievable standards on myself and, in turn, those same expectations leech out onto those nearest and dearest to me. I’ve been praying for a revelation to come along.
The authors, Reber and Moody, start by explaining that perfection is not flawlessness. I’d always subconsciously viewed them, perfection and flawlessness, as exactly the same, but the wool has sufficiently been lifted. Once I read this through, they applied Biblical principles to show how true perfection can be achieved.
As a wife, mother, and member of my community, I appreciate the lengths these men went to in detailing what true perfection looks like in each relationship we have, and always with Christ as the key component. Grace and love are intricately intertwined in the thought-provoking message this book conveys.
With the ideal of perfectionism running rampant, it’s a true blessing to have, not just the book as a resource, but the website as well. The videos and blog add to the heart of the message expressed by Reber and Moody in their book. I recommend this book for anyone who is interested in achieving true perfection through a reliance on our Lord and Savior.
