This book packs a lot of punch. There are so many truths to take away that I’m not sure I can convey enough how pleasant a read this was. I’ll mention a few things that stood out to me and I encourage you to get your copy to find your own truths to help reawaken or encourage your faith.
This book reinforced to be still and watch God fight for you. If the Holy Spirit tells you to do something, then do it. If the Holy Spirit tells you to be still, bless it, be still – God knows what He’s doing more than you know what He’s doing. Only seek to dwell in His presence and you’ll always be right where you’re supposed to be.
Another is actually two-fold: the Holy Spirit convicts, but never condemns. Death did not happen to Jesus, but rather Jesus happened to death. (pgs 306 and 327). Because Jesus so obliterated death, taking everything we were standing condemned for, we’re no longer condemned and death eternally lost!
The author, Sam Hunter, did such a great job to bring realistic details to scripture. He brought truths from the book of Acts and drew them out to make them easier to understand in a way that can bring revival to the Christians that find themselves lacking or listless in their faith. What’s missing? Power. What is the source of this power? The Holy Spirit being alive in us! If you’re lacking the Holy Spirit’s power, of course – get into the Bible! For deepened revelation, order your copy of The Missing Link.
