While I appreciate non-fiction that is researched to exhaustion, I also enjoy the published pieces that are beautiful in their simplicity. This book doesn’t say a lot in words but, if you allow it to, can speak volumes to the minds of our little ones.
The author, Nicholas Tana, recently ventured into the children’s publishing arena with three fresh picture books. He has done quite a bit in the entertainment industry with his own production and consulting company (Smart Media), and is no stranger to public speaking and offering his consulting services to other production power-houses. As if becoming a father in October (2019) was not enough to take on, he’s also been hired by Disney to write a portion of a book set to release in 2020.
This book is best when read to young children (1-3 years of age) and children with special needs. If a child is sensitive to visual stimuli, this book would be a good alternative due to its basic and simple illustrations. I appreciate that this book can benefit up-and-coming generations by helping them to understand that even when we’re bored, there’s always a new way to see and explore the world around us. Learning this at such a young age can help shape a world to be seen with eyes of wonder and even gratitude.
